Mr. Kaupp founded Southern Independent Testing Agency, Inc. in 1980. He is responsible for and involved in sales, marketing, management and certification of projects of all types including large educational complexes, industrial buildings, hospitals, nursing homes and commercial facilities. Mr. Kaupp's vision, leadership and knowledge of the HVAC world has lead to the success of Southern Independent Testing Agency, Inc. being ranked one of the leaders in properly delivered and maintained building environments.

Featured project:

  • Florida Polytechnic University - Building 555Florida Polytechnic University - Building 555 - This building is an architectural feat, with vertical columns that bring in light and reflects water from surrounding ponds. It's operable roof is made of 94 aluminum louvers that flap to create shade. The design allows for an energy efficient building. Unique to this building is the HVAC ventilation system, which is a displacement ventilation design. This requires an understanding of not only the concept but the proper testing methods to ensure a properly balanced system. With Mr. Kaupp's vast knowledge, SITA was able to provide this unique building with a functional HVAC system.

Testing, Adjusting and Balancing projects:

  • West Pasco Government Center - 105,100 square-foot facility; SITA was contracted by Tappouni Mechanical Services, Inc.
  • USPS - Jacksonville P&DC - 115,800 square-foot post office; SITA was contracted by the Engineer, Con Edison Solutions.
  • Fivay High School 'EEE' - Pasco County - 202,600 square-foot high school; SITA was contracted by the General Contractor, Cutler Associates, Inc.
